Everyone has that one favorite dessert from when they were little and this was mine. The Monster Mash Sundae from Friendly’s. Not only was it delicious, but cute and cuddly. You have to eat it in a specific order. 1) Start with the cherry nose 2) Eat the two m&m eyes 3) Then take some ice cream on the spoon and get some whipped cream on it till all of the cream is gone 4) Eat the Reeses halves and 5) Finish the rest of the ice cream. Voila! That’s how you enjoy a Monster Mash.
A Rocky Road to Enjoy
Summer makes me ravenous for ice cream. The heat can be overwhelming and
there is nothing like cooling down with an ice cream cone or sundae. So imagine
my surprise to discover that Friendly’s has a new Rocky Road Sundae. In an
effort to try new things and not miss out on something great, I have decided to try
this new creation.

But my daughter has inherited my tendency to avoid new things. When I asked
if she wanted to try the new Sundae, she gave me a stern “no” and twisted her
face like she has eaten something really bitter.
“Well, what will you have,” I asked.
“The usual,” she said repeating a phrase that I have used many times before.
